Hi, I’m Dr Salma Elfaki and I’m so glad you stopped by.
I’m guessing you’ve probably seen me on TV or hanging around on social media and have probably thought is this dancing doctor for real?!
Short answer, yep!
I’m an American Board Certified Pediatrician, COVID Clinical Researcher and when I’m not juggling patients and entrepreneurship, you’ll find me spending time with my 18 year old daughter, 3 cats and dancing on social media. 😬
After moving to the US as an immigrant with a newly minted degree in medicine dreaming to qualify as a doctor here, I quickly realised that the American Dream was going to be a little harder to achieve than I thought.
Life threw some serious curveballs my way and I ended up surviving an abusive marriage leading to a divorce and breast cancer to name a few!
But as I’m sure you know, what doesn’t kill you only makes you stronger. I turned my pain into purpose and focused on making a positive impact on the little patients that I get to serve everyday in our award winning clinic in Orlando, FL.
I’m now on a mission to empower parents to confidently look after their childrens’ health and dispel misinformation online because I think it’s dangerous to public health and our kids.
And if I also end up inspiring you to follow your dreams and encourage you to stay strong and face whatever life throws at you, well then, that will make me a very happy woman.
